CLASSICAL
BALLET

Being a ballerina is a dream for many young children. Whether or not they become professional dancers, they will learn many life skills associated with the art of dance.

Ballet helps to improve one's sense of coordination and balance, encourages self-discipline and increases strength, flexibility and agility and is an excellent base from which to learn other styles of dance.

Students at I Dance Studios study under the ATOD syllabus.

ATOD are Leaders in the field of dance education.

The Classical Ballet Syllabus includes 12 levels and a performance award, progressing systematically to build strength and artistry.

This syllabus was designed to technically develop students to individually reach their full potential, whether on a recreational, professional or teaching level. Many former students of ATOD teachers have gone on to undertake professional careers in the fields of Classical Ballet.

This System of Training was designed by the Classical Ballet Core Committee, which included well-known ballet teachers and examiners, including Graduates of The Australian Ballet School.

ATOD examinations are encouraged - not compulsory.
