OBSERVING CLASSES

We expect that parents/caregivers of our younger students will stay to observe classes. This helps them feel secure and comfortable in a new environment.  You would also need to be there to help your child with bathroom breaks etc. as the teacher cannot be responsible when your child leaves the teaching space. From around Rosette 1 level and beyond (depending on your own child’s needs), we encourage parents to leave their children with us so they become use to how it will be on exam day and we believe this also instils a sense of independence and growth.

BEING PREPARED FOR CLASS

 

What to bring:

1. Dance or athletic clothing/uniform.

2. A named water bottle.

3. Any medical requirements (asthma inhaler etc)

UNIFORM

Tiny Movers - Any Dancewear your child feels comfortable in. Leotards, tutus, shorts and t-shirt.  

Ballet shoes and socks (or pink ballet tights) required once enrolled. Pink ballet Rose dress available to order if required. Hair to be kept neatly off the face. 
 

PRESCHOOL - Rosettes 1 & UP

An enforced dress code helps in many ways. By wearing a uniform the dancer understands that they are going to a structured class which in turn helps to develop the right mindset. A uniform gives the teacher the ability to see the lines and shapes the dancer is creating and to fix any incorrect technique.  Being dressed all the same also creates an identity and sense of belonging to the studio.
